AI Fluency for Cybersecurity Professionals

A practical cybersecurity-focused training on AI fluency, showing SOC analysts, CTI professionals, and security teams how to move beyond basic prompting into structured, validated human-AI collaboration. The session covers Anthropic’s AI Fluency Index, the 4D framework, common AI-use risks such as polished but unvalidated outputs, and hands-on prompt evolution examples for threat reports, detection engineering, malware triage, OSINT, and incident response. The core message is: Iterate, Question, Validate.

Learners will explore:

How AI fluency changes the way cybersecurity professionals work with AI, from simple prompting to structured collaboration. The course covers Anthropic’s AI Fluency Index, the 4D Framework, prompt evolution, validation habits, and real SOC/CTI use cases such as threat reporting, detection engineering, malware triage, OSINT, and incident response.

Prerequisites:

No advanced AI background is required. Learners should have basic cybersecurity knowledge and familiarity with SOC or CTI workflows. Completing Anthropic’s AI Fluency Framework Foundations course is recommended as preparation.

Course Goals

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

  • Explain what AI fluency means in cybersecurity.
  • Apply the 4D Framework: Description, Delegation, Discernment, and Diligence.
  • Improve prompts through iteration instead of accepting the first AI output.
  • Identify risks in polished but unvalidated AI-generated reports, rules, and playbooks.
  • Use AI more safely for CTI, SOC, detection engineering, malware triage, OSINT, and IR workflows.
  • Build a personal or team-level AI fluency action plan based on “Iterate, Question, Validate.”
